Alexandre Chabod
Alexandre hand selects clarinets for RMS at the Buffet factory in Mantes-la-Ville, France. He serves as co-principal clarinet with the Paris Opera and also plays in the Quatuor Vendôme. Before that, he played with l’Orchestre de la Garde Républicaine and l’ Orchestre des Musiciens du Louvre-Grenoble as clarinet soloist.
Alexandre studied at the Paris Conservatory (with Michel Arrignon) and won first prize for clarinet and for chamber music. He has also won prizes at the international contests of Toulon, Paris (UFAM 3rd Prize) and Jean Francaix (2nd prize).
In the summers, Alexandre teaches at the Festival-Academy of the Arcs in Bourg St Maurice, France. He also specializes in five key, ten key and romantic clarinets in the chamber music setting.
